Director of Manufacturing
Job Summary:
The Director of Manufacturing will oversee the Manufacturing Division of the company, ensuring effective and efficient use of facilities and staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees and participates in the recruitment, hiring, and training of manufacturing employees.
- Oversees schedules and assignments for the division.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Reviews production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.

- Works with chief financial officer to develop operating budget.
- Delivers progress and production reports to executive team members as requested.
- Supervises equipment purchase, maintenance, and layout.

Summary:
The Master Scheduler works closely with the Purchasing, Production and Program Management Teams to ensure company deadlines are met while coordinating focus on maximizing revenue and Customer On Time delivery. They must work independently and prioritize job duties as well as communicate proactively. They must effectively use Infor ERP/MRP to ensure material is available to support production needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develops, publishes, and maintains the Master Production Schedule, balancing inventory, resources and capacity.
- Negotiates corrective actions to product schedules when dictated by changes in business.
- Acts as liaison between Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Development, and Program Management to control the Master Schedule. Assists other production support groups in achieving corporate goals.
- Assists Program Management in scheduling sales orders and supporting customer requirements.
- Revise production schedules when provided with updated information on capacity or materials.
- Participates in Change Control Board (CCB) activity to ensure engineering changes are consistent with the production plans and inventories. Coordinates Engineering Change Notice effectiveness with Supply Chain, Program Management, and Production.
- Participates in forecasting/planning meetings with Business Development, Finance, and other related departments.
- Develop strategies and work with the operations team on capacity and equipment utilization.
- Document key information for analysis which includes downtime, peak production, inventory, and scheduling accuracy.
- Monitor material flow, identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues to root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Generate reports including but not limited to production line capacity, material clear, production status, and on-time delivery. Proactively works with functional owners to review and determine root cause and deploy countermeasures for areas not meeting target.

- Knowledge of general accounting; production assembly procedures, techniques and tooling; material and capacity planning and forecasting; and product bill of material procedures.
- Intermediate to expert level knowledge with enterprise systems and databases, INFOR preferred.
- Results-driven to deliver consistent improvement in cycle times, on time delivery and inventory turns.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferred in Supply Chain Management or Business
- 5 – 10 years of related experience in manufacturing with at least 5 years in Production Planning functions.
- Supervisory or managerial experience preferred
- Professional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) preferred.
- Experience in a regulated industry a plus, medical device, automotive, aerospace
- Minimum 5 years’ experience master scheduling experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Full understanding of MRP, Bills of Material and Manufacturing Capacity Planning
- Leadership focused. Must be able to drive multiple departments to meet customer requirements.
- Able to adapt to changing requirements from customers and changes in material supply or manufacturing and provide plan that quickly drives recovery

SMT Process Engineer
Description
Summary:
The SMT Process Engineer works under the direct supervision of a more experienced engineer. Process engineers provide support to their supervisors throughout the design and development phase, make calculations and prepare plans for projects, and oversee and provide reports on progress and issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop Plans and Calculations within engineering projects.
- Draw blueprints and structural diagrams for correction and approval.
- Make necessary calculations and estimates.
- Manage Project Workflow. Provide direct day-to-day support and oversight of project elements.
- Serve as liaisons between engineering and other departments.
- Develop project schedules and deliverable timelines under the supervision of more experienced engineers.
- Provide Engineering Support direct or indirect to other engineers/engineering teams. Gathering data, submitting documentation.
- Prepare Project Reports and presents them to engineers and other personnel. Compare project schedules and budgets to expectations and report on any potential delays or issues that arise during project.

- Work closely with Program Management Team to manage the supply chain for various customer programs.
- Purchase material and services in support of operational and production requirements.
- Monitor Open Purchase Orders and confirm POs with vendor base work to expedite material shortages and maintain PO date accuracy to ensure inventory levels are in balance and company annual inventory turn KPI targets are met.
- Pro-actively react to potential material issues to ensure production lines and customer ATP is not negatively impacted.
- Cost integrity – ensure costs do not exceed the Sourcing Team’s estimated costs eroding margins.
- Participate in cost savings projects to enhance program margins.
- Manage customers’ excess material level to quoted goals and work closely with Program Management group to communicate any issues.
- Manage MRO Purchase Orders including consigned material cabinet.
- Review and action non-conforming non-receivable materials.
- Make cost reduction recommendations and leverage best-practices.
- Negotiate cost savings to meet annual company KPI targets.

Engineering Technician
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides support to machine operators for programming, setup, fixtures and other manufacturing tasks.
- Develop stencils, reflow profiles and various fixtures to support production.

- Associates and/or B.A., B.S., Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
- Prior on-the-job experience of at least 5 plus years in same or similar industry.

Nature of Work:
- Operate Automated Optical Inspection Equipment and identify defects on circuit board assemblies.

LEVEL DISTINCTION:
- Operator can perform inspection tasks using the 5DX X-ray machine tasks under moderate supervision using assembly instructions with reasonable accuracy and moderate speed, including:
- Operate the 5DX machine with proficiency
- Recall and load the appropriate programs for each work order
- Identify defects and record them properly
- Identify false calls and report trends to the programmer
- Education: 0-3 years of industry experience or equivalent is required
- Operator can perform inspection tasks using the 5DX X-ray machine tasks independently using instructions with high accuracy and high speed, including:
- Operate the 5DX machine with proficiency
- Recall and load the appropriate programs for each work order
- Identify defects and record them properly
- Identify false calls and report trends to the programmer
- Education: 3-5 years of industry experience or equivalent is required
- Operator Programmer can perform and define complex inspection programs with no supervision using assembly instructions or customer provided documents with high accuracy and high speed, including:
- Create and define operational 5DX programs from data provided by the customer
- Debug and optimize programs to promote the fewest false calls possible
- Maintain programs and provide change control in an organized manner for all product files
- Provide data and insight to the SMT line and engineers with the intent of solving process problems and developing process improvements based on 5DX findings
- Demonstrate diagnostic and analytical skills
