Seymour, CT – July 24, 2025 – Microboard Processing, Inc. proudly announces that its President and CEO, Nicole Russo, has been named a finalist for the TLC Lions Human CEO of the Year Award. This honor recognizes business leaders who champion empathy, inclusivity, and purpose-driven leadership.
Under Russo’s guidance, Microboard has become a globally respected electronics manufacturing services provider, supporting Fortune 500 companies and the U.S. military. Over the past six years, she has doubled the company’s size while maintaining a strong commitment to people and purpose.
Nicole continues to uphold the two missions established by her father, Craig Hoekenga: delivering best-in-class electronics manufacturing and helping those making less than a dollar a day. In keeping with that vision, Microboard donates 100% of its net profits annually to ten global humanitarian causes.
Her leadership has also propelled several impactful workforce development initiatives, including programs for neurodiverse individuals, veterans, and underrepresented groups in manufacturing. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she was recognized for stabilizing complex supply chains and positioning Microboard for long-term growth. The company is currently expanding with a second facility planned for the western U.S.
